My wife and I had dinner at Taan Eatery in Denton for the first time, and it didn’t disappoint. The food and service were excellent! As we hadn’t been there before, Becca, who was awesome, walked us through some of the favorite starters and mains. We started with Tumeric Roasted Cauliflower. I had the Creamy Scallop and Shrimp Spaghetti in a red curry pesto, and my wife had the Spaghetti Kee Mow with shredded grilled chicken. Everything was amazing! We have been to their sister restaurant, Thai Square, too many times to count, and we can’t believe it took us so long to try Taan Eatery. We will 100% be back. Probably next week!
My wife had been wanting to eat hear for a long time after hearing about the duck curry pot pie, so we finally found the time to meet some friends for dinner here. The food was AMAZING! The pot pie my wife had was just wonderfully delicious and lived up to her every expectation. I got the Thai Duck Street Noodles and they're honestly some of the best Thai noodles I've add. Texture was perfect and they had a really nice heat and flavor. The duck was cooked perfectly and I appreciated it wasn't drowned in sauce instead sitting atop the noodles. We also got the crab guacamole on shrimp chips as an app for the table. It was beautifully presented and delicious. We each got 2 chips and were barely done before our mains came out. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with telling us about the menu and the levels of heat. We will definitely be back!
My partner and I came here for lunch. I loved our waitress, I loved our food, and it loved the look. It was my 21st birthday, so I asked about the sake, and the waitress was incredibly helpful! She was also just so friendly, so I felt very comfortable. I got the duck, and it was phenomenal. My partner got chicken, and it was 'perfect.' Props to the cook, these dishes are amazing!
To say we were happy with our experience would be a massive understatement. I originally made a 12 top reservation that turned into a 27 person surprise birthday celebration. Coming from being a catering manager myself, planning a private event with PJ was easy and fun! PJ even worked with me on my budget and was accommodating in every aspect. They were truly a sparkling delight to work with and made me, our guests, and the birthday boy feel extremely special. The menu, served family style, was comforting and delicious. Highlight was definitely the Crab Claw Curry and the tender duck noodles. The space feels elevated yet comfy. Taan is definitely a place you’d call a hidden gem of Denton. Thank you to PJ and their team for making our evening special and one of our more treasured celebrations.
Me and my ol’ lady came in for date night last night and loved it. Did not realize how small and intimate the space was but it works. If there is an option for duck at a restaurant I will get it. The Thai street noodles with duck were great, I got level 3 spice but wished it had a little more kick. The wife got the duck pot pie and it was delicious. Staff is friendly and attentive. Good import beer selection. Price point for 2 was perfect for date night. We will be coming back for sure.
I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and flavorful preparations. The service was equally excellent. Our server Rebecca is very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon!
We traveled to Denton to look at colleges and decided to try this spot out for dinner. We had a vegan and two omnivores in our group. We all enjoyed our meals. We had the spinach potstickers with tofu, shrimp tempura bowl, brocliflower dish with plant-based chicken added, and the mus sa mun pot pie with shredded chicken. Everything was great. My daughter that had the shrimp tempura dish said it was a bit heavier than expected, but she still ate every bite. My daughter that had the brocliflower with the plant based chicken loved it. Said she would have it again. I had the pot pie, and it was very flavorful and not too spicy (you can adjust the spiciness to your liking). The potstickers were delicious. All in all, it was a good meal. We will definitely return if my kids go to college in Denton! :-)
Wow I'm so sad I didn't discover this place sooner! Up until recently, had confused this with being Thai square. I had only had delivery and wasn't absolutely crazy about it (Andaman is my favorite Thai in Denton) Boy was I wrong. This place is an elevated Thai fusion I've never experienced. The duck portions are outstanding. Everything from the noodles to the roasted veggies were perfect. Can't wait to try more !
